Hello

I want to build a gaming pc but I will also use it for other things like homework or watching movies. And so does my sister. Is it possible to let 2 people use the pc at the same time. To have 2 monitors, 2 keyboards etc. So that we can just do our own thing.

My budget is €1000

I was planning to get these parts. But my next question would be if it is powerfull enough...

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 5 GB GAMING Z Video Card

PSU: Thermaltake TR2 S 600W

RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200MHz

Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming PRO Carbon AC ATX AM4

Storage: ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB 2.5" SSD

Seagate Barracudda Compute 1TB 3.5" HDD

Is it powerful enough? probably. Is it practical? no. Just get two separate systems. Setting up software alone will make you wish you havent attempt to do that.

You really can not use two separate mouse and keyboards. For monitors, yes!

it can but that really depends on what kind of software you plan on using, most of the "prosumer" software is not free. Believe me, you are better off buying two systems.

If you want to go the LinusTechTips Unraid style from a couple years ago, you're gonna need 2 more videocards. One for the Unraid dashboard, one for the second virtual computer.

Wouldn't it be more practical to use that 1000 USD to get 2 PC's? Or one good PC and a simpler one? Things like homework and such will run fine on a 3200G system too:

^something like that and spend the other 600 or so USD on another PC.

With virtualization it's possible (there are a number of free hypervisor options available) but you don't have sufficient hardware to do it and setup is something you'd want background knowledge to pull it off. You'd be better off building two computers.
