Will hyper 212 cool 3950x (no massive overclocking, usage only for gaming and rendering video)?  Thank you.

Not a good idea, likely not, but since you can buy 3950x why can't you buy a better cooler.

I think it will not cool enough even in stock speeds

Far from at full speed (relative to stock performance)

Thank you for your reply.

I was thinking to go custom water cooling in 6 month as currently I have a tight budget.

I was considering

- NH-D15 - cheaper but I can't use it anymore when I go custom water cooling as my old case doesn't have enough height clearance.

- NZXT X62 - more expensive, but I could move it to an old case corsair crystal 280X.

My current case is CM H500M.

I was considering Hyper 212 of the price.  I also can't reuse it when I go custom water cooling.

Scythe Mugen 5? Should be short enough if Hyper 212 fits

Will this suffice for 3950x? Seems like a good option if it can keep things going and be moved to a corsair crystal 280x too.

maybe? AMD recommends 240mm rad AIO liquid cooler so this is still worse than that, but you can't argue with its price

Bruh

I'm not obnoxious. ?

I bought this current build piece by piece, as I don't have the budget to buy all in one go.

In the beginning I was expecting that 3950x to come with stock cooler as it was previously declared on their old page ?

A friend of mine recommended hyper 212 just so that I can use the build, as I currently don't have a cooler yet.  So I was wondering whether it will suffice.

Thank you for your reply. Cheers mate.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll try to look it up as it is kind a hard to find PC parts in my country.

The Evo 212 will likely not be good enough. AMD recommends an AIO. The last time they recommended an AIO it was because they're chips got so hot they'd melt motherboards. I'd probably get at least a 250w air cooler, or an AIO. Don't cheap out on the cooling. If you can't afford it now, wait.

A good cheap AIO option seems to be the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240.  I have one on order so I haven't tested it yet but from the reviews, it's cooling performance is top notch.  Retails for about $90 so isn't as cheap as an air cooler but it also isn't as pricey as most AIO's with similar cooling performance.
