I have a weird problem with the storage!

So i build a pc with those ssd m2 but i faced its first problem.

I managed to instal windows on the M2 ssd as i learned trough different topics, i pluged only the SSD and bingo, but now when i plug a sata hard drive the drive begins to give a beeping noise and freeze upon the Asrock boot screen.

Mother board Asrok A320M pro4.

SSD M2 XPG 256 gammix S5.

Hard drive Segate 2TB.

Have u tried a Bios update?  I used to have this issue if i would have USB drives attached to my PC when trying to boot.

 

Also u could try entering the bios and making sure that your M.2 is first drive in boot priority.

Have you tried a different sata port? Sometimes m.2 turns off some sata ports

The problem is that when i am only using the M2 ultra everything is okay and boots up. But when i hool up the sata hard drive, the drive itself beeps and freezes upon Asrock logo, and i cant even load Bios since is frozen, to see if it detects it and possibly chamged the boot priority from M2 to HD

Yes.  Do you keep hooking it up to the same sata port?

I hooked it to sata 1 and sata 3 same beeping and freeze image. I will try tomorow to try all the Sata ports one by one. Gonna download the lates bios just in case if your suggestion dont work out and gonna give the update.

Also, in your BIOS, under Advanced>Storage Configuration, I'd make sure both are recognized.

There is no way to see if both are recognized since the hard drive makes the pc freeze on boot, when they are separate they are recognized.

“An error”?  What error?  If it’s booting slowly it may not be booting from the SSD.  Are there any other drives besides the two you are talking about connected?

When i open the disc manager the Hard drive is displayed as "Disc 0" no information its offline and when i press right click new simple volume is gray and nothing that help and properties is clickable.

Disk 0 is the boot drive.  You’re booting off HD. No error code?  Not sure what the rest of that means.  You need to set the boot order in bios so it tries to boot from the SSD first.  If it’s already set up that way it means it can’t so it’s defaulting to the next bootable device in line which is the HD.  So either your boot order is messed up or the SSD isn’t bootable even though you put an OS on it

Its booting from the SSD when i open dick managment it moves the SSD from 0 to 1 and the hard drive to 0 and then i can not either create new simple volume or format the hard drive. I dont know why its changing the SSD to 1 from 0 and makes 0 the hard drive.

Because the HD is set as boot drive in bios I suspect.  You’ll need to boot into bios and change it if it’s the case.

In the bios is set to the XPG (SSD) it doesnt even shows the hard drive as boot option its only the ssd. But in the storage config it displays the both hard drive and the SSD.

Not being able to read Russian makes this hard.  You may have to find someone local who can.

 

Looks from here like you have 3 hds not two.  Only two of them are NTFS.  A drive with two partitions maybe. Auck has no ntfs on it. Bb3ct.. and C are the ones that are bootable.

 

I don’t know if C is a third drive, or the bootable partition of one of the other drives.  This is where the reading Russian thing becomes required.
