2x4gb 2666mhz Vs 1x8gb 3200mhz for ryzen 3 3200g

I wanna buy a build with ryzen's 3rd generation APUs I dont know if I should use dual channel for ram like 4gb 2666mhz or add just 1 8gb 3200mhz I've heard that ryzen's new APUs work better with dual channels but I dont wanna use dual channel because I might add more ram in the future. Please help me If I should use 2x4gb 2666mhz Or 1x8gb 3200mhz

Let's just say it like this:

Dual channel 2400Mhz > single channel 3200Mhz:

That's of course one test, but the results here line up with the other tests.

That's a 50% increase in fps, just by using dual channel (and even more if you have 3000Mhz class memory).

Either try to get a decent 3000Mhz+ 2x8GB set, or try to get a motherboard with 4 RAM slots.

The Ryzen APUs performance scale a lot with RAM performance, i would consider getting 2x8GB with fastest speed you can afford with the fastest timings you can afford. Also the iGPU get faster if you can dedicate it RAM space but usually will take whats left, so if you play a game and you have only 1GB of RAM available to the iGPU, you can make 45FPS, i there is 8GB left you may do something like 55FPS, you can make 60FPS if you had fast ram rather then 2666mhz, and the list goes on. Those number are fictive and for the purpose of understanding how rapidly performance scale with APUs.

It's cheap and can be overclocked a fair amount.

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...

Dual channel will be a lot better, basically doubles it.
