What psu can go with my motherboard?

I am going to build my first computer and I will use a 750 watt psu but I can't figure out what one can go with the motherboard? Not to mention I'm using msy Australia. Here is my motherboard if needed. https://msy.com.au/msi-z390-gaming-pro-carbon-intel-z390-s1151-atx-gaming-4xddr3-3xpcie-m2-usb-type-c-raid-hdmi. please use msy not ebay or any other website. My problem is the power pins, etc.

nearly every PSU goes with the Motherboard but you have to know the TDP for: CPU, GPU. Then add the TDP's and look for a PSU with enough Watt.

The motherboard on its own doesn't tell us enough on what PSU you need.

What is the rest of the system? Mainly CPU, GPU, case and drives.

Any ATX power supply with a 8 pin EPS cpu power connector (or 4+4 cpu power connector) will work. This means pretty much any psu rated for 500w or higher.

 

The motherboard has a 8 pin EPS / 4+4 cpu connector and an additional 4 pin cpu connector, but this additional 4 pin cpu connector is optional and only really useful if you're into very serious overclocking, so it can be left aside, with no cable in it.

 

Unless you're gonna use 2 video cards, you're gonna have a really hard time getting a computer to consume more than 500w, so a power supply rated for 600w (or more) will be plenty and future proof.

Most configurations will use around 350w ( around 200w for video card, around 100-150w for cpu and everything else) when gaming.

 

Better go with a higher end/ higher quality power supply rated for lower wattage, instead of lower quality higher wattage.

This is not how powerdraw works for systems.....

 

Nor is wattage the real concern when looking at PSUs.

TDPs mean different things for Intel and AMD platforms and neither represents power draw properly.

 

Plus you most likely also have other components in your system, that draw power, besides CPU and GPU...

What are the full system specs? 750w is most likely completely unneccasary.

Buy any Power Supply of you choice, i would pick something smaller then 750W and better quality then having lot a juice but lower quality, unless you want to run a 2080TI

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
