ASUS VII Hero AMD PBO issues ?

So i was watching a video review of the VIII Hero by Buildzoid and he mentioned that the VIII board is a pretty good board unless Asus messed up the PBO implementation like the VII Hero

My main concern is that i just bought the VII Hero like 6 days ago and rocking a 3700x. Are you aware of what Buildzoid is referring to here ?

I have this board running a 2700x and has been over a year with no issues.

I have the 2700 on my C7H and leave PBO off because it's messed up, only raise clockspeed to about 3.5ghz....

Zen 2 on the other hand is very different and seem to be working a lot better with PBO then manual overclock. I have not tested a 3000 chip yet but Buildzoid is usually right in his comments, maybe Asus updated their BIOS since he made the comment tho.

Pretty much all youtubers made the same statement about Zen 2 and manual OC. 

However, for me manual OC gave better Cinabench 15 results than PBO. 

 

Considering Buildzoid reviewed the VIII hero way before the actual launch, maybe Asus has fixed their implementation over the last couple BIOS updates. But i dunno what was wring in the first place
