Is there a reliable 24/25 inch 1440p 60+ Hz monitor?

Just to state the obvious:Ryzen 3700X | 48GB 3200Hz RAM | Vega 56 -TBU -Superline down the line.

The main reason is that I feel like I am being strangled at the 1920x1080 resolution -so far the max resolution I can find for a 24 in monitor.

 

The secondary reason is desk space - I can't go beyond 25 inches in monitor size in relation to desk without it becoming top heavy and falling.

 

With that said the monitor -if one -will be used in my business, CADD software, video and audio editing and gaming -casual gaming -maybe some 1440P -tertiary reason.

 

As to the type of monitor...I want to assume that the listed specs of mine: ASUS VS247H-P that show a: "2ms (Gray to Gray)" -indicates that it is a TN panel -probably wrong though.

 

So maybe a TN preferred -not a deal breaker though.

Price between $150-$250/280ish USD.

 

 

 

TLDR: Is there a monitor that I can upgrade to from my VS247H-P that will give at least 2560x1440 resolution, go over 60Hz -yet is in 24 - 25 inch range, still has a good side view angle, is a reliable monitor that can take some wear and tear in moving every six months or so?

have you taken a look at pcpartpicker and their monitor search? Just put in your price of 150-280, 1440p, 25", etc.

I have tried it keeps defaulting to main page after clicking the magnifying glass.

How is that stating the obvious? Your parts aren't listed anywhere else, including your spoiler at the bottom.

I assume you're not doing serious editing if you've been doing it on a TN panel?

 

You need to be careful with any monitor. Treat them properly and you won't have issues.

 

Dell makes a TN 24" GSync 1440p monitor, and they often go ridiculously cheap on Black Friday.

I haven't seen a lot of monitor reviews lately but the video reviews are definitely the best. I'm sure you probably knew that but if you can find videos for the monitors you're interested in than I think you're set.

Yeah usually I would be doing that if not stuck on this debilitated 10 year old laptop using outdated netscape navigator to view amazon, LLT, pcpartpicker for this week while getting cpu brace in mail probably the reasons links not working exactly right.

 

Though now that I know my search criteria i have started finding others monitors in the range that even PCPP does not show: BENQ, ASUS, Lenovo, LG, ect... though most so far are IPS panels and at a max of 60Hz but all capable of 2560x1440.

Still it I looks like the AOC though is the best for the price.

Where do those others stand -ASUS apart -in comparison or is there any?

BTW I should be focused on the TN instead of IPS being as its being used for all those things mentioned not just gaming right?

From my experience, Asus usually makes everything expensive. They're like Nike. They make pretty good stuff but it'll cost you. Thats why I got my 144hz asus refurb'd

 

BENQ makes good monitors too, I don't hear much bad things about them at all unless someone got a lemon panel

 

I don't really know anything about lenovo at all, it doesn't seem like they're in the monitor game as much as the other brands

 

LG makes decent monitors. I've seen good things about them but this and the lenovo monitors are the ones I know the least about.

 

Do some extra research because I could be wrong about some of these, I just have my collected knowledge from when I was looking into buying a new display and videos I've watched.

It's your choice based on what you want out of the monitor. TN is usually used on faster displays for the low response time and high refresh rate and IPS is the color accurate, higher quality panel though it tends to be more expensive and doesn't have the same things that TN can boast on paper
