New build final

ToneBone

So I just finished specing out my new build and I want to see if I did anything wrong or if there's any input the community would like to have. This is going to be used mostly for gaming and I'm on a pretty slim budget but I feel like I did pretty good though I'm still open to suggestions.

What do you intend to accomplish with this build? It certainly could use a lot of rework.

The CPU is last gen. 100% get the new 3rd gen Ryzen chips, it is a huge improvement. Though if you stick to a B450 motherobard you might have to have AMD send you a cpu to update your motherboards bios with, as it might not boot immediately with your motherboard.

Can you tell us what you plan to do with this build?

Currently, the GPU looks a bit weak, and the hdd storage overkill compared to the ssd, but the current configuration might make sense given certain situations.

Desktop:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.75* RAM: 2 by 8gb G.Skill Flare X 2400 @2666* GPU Strix GTX 1070 @1880-ish

Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb; 2x 2tb Seagate Barracuda Drives; 1tb hdd (It died after 4 years :();

Laptop: (HP Stream 11-y010nr "Spent all my money on my Desktop" Edition)

CPU: Intel Celeron N3060 @160 BILLION hertz RAM: 400 BILLION bytes Samsung DDR3L @160 BILLION hertz

GPUIntel HIGH DEFINITION Graphics @32 BILLION hertz

Storage: 32 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE emmc C drive with 64 TRILLION bytes of SOLID STATE microSD card D drive.

*Overclocked around 25% of the time... questionably stable.

The ssd is too small. you could get 500gb sata ssd for that price and you won't notice the difference in speed.

To share a PC build, copy the permalink instead of a screenshot

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Just gaming mostly, it's my first build and it's gotten a lot of revisions but I'm open to any suggestions. I'm also on quite the budget but I think I did a good job

Far from it with all duo respect.

Ryzen 5 3600 is a better pick for gaming at the same price point.

B450M Pro 4 is a better motherboard than the A/CSM for the same price point.

You don't need fancy RGB Trident Z on a budget build, besides you'd have a hard time getting 3200mhz on a Zen + processor if you were going with the 2700X

Buying a 3,5 inch HDD that's 5400rpm rated instead of 7200rpm

Intel 760p is just an overpriced 660p that uses TLC instead of QLC, you can find better value drivers for this price featuring 512GB like Sabrent Rocket.

RX 580 is a fine card for 1080p, nothing much to speak here if that's your target.

Seasonic M12II for 76 dollars? that's like the *worse* decision on this list, it's an extremely outdated unit that's stupidly overpriced here, for this same price point you can pick a Corsair TX550M instead.

If you're on a tight budget you don't need to pay 100 dollars on Windows, just use it inactivate as it won't change gaming at all and then you have like 100 bucks more to thrown on your GPU allowing you to get something like a GTX 1660 Ti instead.
