People fail to understand this card works much better with better cooling so while Linus did not have the EK blocks and I understand why his team had to stick with air cooling, comments like "2-5 FPS for $150 more???? LMAO FAIL!!!1!!!" make me sad.

Which one? There won't be a 780 Ti Lightning for sale, the 780 Lightning is still being sold with Elpida memory more often than not, the 770 Lightning is pretty gimped and the 290x Lightning may well be vaporware at this point. Please, people, do NOT base a card on how good it looks if 90% of you are not even going to see the cooler properly once it is installed in your system.

Please, people, do NOT base a card on how good it looks if 90% of you are not even going to see the cooler properly once it is installed in your system.

i know it bad to base a card off looks but in my case, the haf xb, with the way i have it on my desk i will see the full cooler in my pc at all times so looks for the gpu do play a very big part into it for me

True- people with reverse ATX/horizontal ATX layout cases are who I referred to in the 10% (very likely less than that). But still when you are going high-end, I implore everyone to research a lot and makes sure your money is going to what you want- be it looks or performance or a bit of both.

I almost sold this card before I even received it thinking I had made a mistake since I didn't really plan on putting it under LN2... but when I got it and tested it out I fell in love. It's seriously just plain out ridiculous. Even on that stock cooler everyone is complaining about it's whisper quiet and retardedly fast! 1300+ on the core without even trying. People with the EK block on it are getting in the 1400's and the card loves it.

Going Nvidia is already asking to pay a premium. Shelling out 750 for a classy TI is completely unjustifiable so what's it matter forking out more for literally the worlds fastest GPU. We aren't peasants here!!! :D

I have 3 x 290's in my other rig which serve their purpose as well, but I've been using this Kingpin rig for all my recording. It can't be stopped!
