Pros 

- like the 3:2 aspect ratio 

-Higher resolution

- the design

- can apply the student discount

Con

-when comparing it to specter it comes out short on specs and memory at the same price

-craptastic io

Hp specter 

Pros

Gives you great specs at great price

thunderbolt 3 

 

Cons 

- design which i can overlook

-only full hd, would have like to see 2k screen 

-16 by 9 aspect ratio which also i can overlook

If you want looks over function go with the surface laptop 3.

Always have liked the surfaces, so I would go for the surface range, just my opinion

I personally like the surface. Just wouldn't play the premium for the ssd upgrade since it is supposed to be simple to upgrade now. 

 

Would wait and see reviews anyway.
