Importing a SD 855 version of the S10e

Hi,

 

I've seen online that the Exynos version of the Samsung S10e performs worse than the Snapdragon variant, while consuming more power and emitting more heat. I'm therefore looking for a way to import a US, Chinese, or Japanese version of the phone. I'm mostly looking on eBay, where the listing aren't super accurate so I can't really the network bands and stuff. Can anyone confirm that there might be compatibility issues in terms of network or even with Samsung Pay? Is it safer to buy the Exynos version locally?

I doubt the difference in power consumption is that great. I'd just get the one from your local market.

You can use www.willmyphonework.net to find out if you'll have issues network wise.

The difference in performance is quite noticeable though, and in temperature too.

 

Considering that they are supposed to cost the same it's like a scam

The chances of you noticing the difference in day to day use are pretty slim though.

I'd rather have a phone that actually works, than a phone that benchmarks slightly faster and doesn't...

There are more videos that aren't about benchmarks though with games or apps taking longer to launch, which sucks considering that it's not a cheap phone. With that said the main advantage when buying locally is the warranty.

Also your website isn't up to date as it says that we still don't have 4G while I've been using it for 4-5 years.

Probably not enough people in your country so no one bothered to update it.

If it bothers you that much, I'd just get a different phone.
