How is the Nexus 7 (2013)

DarkEnergy

I will probably be getting the Nexus 7 (2013) in a week and was wondering how it performs compared to other tablet/phone products. Is it faster, slower, or about the same as the Apple iPhone 5s? What types of devices is it similar to or better then when it comes to speed? What are your thoughts on it?

The Nexus 7 2013 edition is the best tablet for the money. As me and @TheSLSAMG it's totally worth the moneyz.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

HAHA

why are you comparing a tablet to a phone?

Because they are both mobile devices, similar size give or take a few inches. And because I know that there are phones faster than tablets. They also have alot of similar things about them.

yeah I guess but that's not a fully functional product yet, still in beta

Yeah, but so far it looks like they've got something good.

sure it is super easy to do, but I'd also advise its also super easy to soft brick a phone or tablet, so be sure to follow the steps and most importantly back up the phone/tablet

on some phones, like the GS4, you can fix a softbrick with odin, but either way, like you said be safe and follow instructions ;3

Hahaha ohhhh yes, I've been there, many nights of working a sweat over whether or not I could get that s4 to boot up, and learned some cool things troubleshooting, but its worth it if your into that stuff

I've had mine for a few months. So I'll give my impressions, the raw processing power seems good for the money, it's certainly a fast tablet. Plays games well, runs apps pretty fast, plays 1080p video back flawlessly.

It's not quite as snappy as my HTC One (which is running pretty similar hardware) but the difference is marginal. So I mean it's fast, but it's not blazingly fast.

All in all considering the price, it performs great. It does everything well, screen is really good, sound is good, WiFi range and speeds are great, battery life is what you'd expect from tablet, it gets you through a day on medium+ use.

I was asking a question, I was wondering if he (like other users I have met) confused the Nexus 7 for a phone

I would also recommend taking a look at the pricing of the Lg Gpad where you live as it is in my opinion the best tablet out there right now. However if the Nexus 7s price is just right and you would prefer the size/form factor then go for it as it is a very close second to the Gpad.

What about Tegra Note 7? It's quite powerful with its Tegra 4 chip. Has front-facing speakers with decent screen. Goes cheaper than Nexus 7 too.
