Yeah it's called Optimus. Your GPU is essentially "piped" through the iGPU. So it always shows as being connected to the iGPU, however, it will auto detect programs that need to use the real GPU

The iGPU is always going to be connected to the monitor of the laptop, as the dGPU can be turned off for power saving: when gaming (or doing other GPU tasks), the dGPU will be doing the processing and the video output will be essentially piped through the iGPU to the monitor
