mate 30 is not for me

the new mate 30 pro has no physical buttons with the screen being so dang huge. is it just me or is that literally the reason I will not buy that phone (other than the skin and USA availability/gms)

 

that means I cant change volume while its in my pocket, not double click power for camera, more ways for the screen to crack, less tactile response. 

its just too many small things that I have to give up.

Wait for the honor version, that model has more regular features.

I like the idea of the Mate 30 pro, and I do believe it's the future. That being said, I would never buy one.

 

IMO: It's going to be one of those things youtubers are making videos about 10 years from now saying "OMG THIS THING WAS SO AHEAD OF IT'S TIME". Gen 1 tech basically always sucks, but it will become normalized in a few generations if it's really worth while. Remember how peeved people were when Apple removed the headphone jack back in 2016? Now it's more mainstream and the majority of people are okay with it.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

I wouldn't buy a Huawei product, and honestly, the fact it doesn't have any GApps kills any desire for me to have it for any other reason.

If I don't get GApps, I might as well get an iPhone.

I'm not sure 'okay with it' is the right term, more like we have to accept it because most everyone decided to do it and our choices are limited now. At least that's been my perception.
