My friend has an issue with her nintendo switch where whenever playing a game her switch sometimes drifts and makes the character move without her control, is this an internal issue and what solutions are there

thanks

Tell her to contact Nintendo's customer-support. Her controllers have to be replaced.

Go into the settings of the switch, there will be a way to test the joycon analog sticks (in the controller settings I think). Test the offending joycon and while doing nothing, see if it drifts.

If it does drift, you could try any of the many fixes out there (blowing compressed air under it, disassembling and cleaning it, etc.), but that will at most fix it temporarily.

I would suggest contacting Nintendo support (or the store where it is bought, if you're in an area where that will be the norm) and asking about warranty options.

Joycon 'stick drift' is a well known issue with certain joycons.

its fairly easy to do. you just need the screwdriver for it

Sure, but Nintendo offer free replacement even out of warranty.
