Looking for a cheap GPU (GTX 680,770,1050,RX 570 etc..)

Mateus Montemor

Hi, so i was looking into getting a gpu for my second rig, since it has a i7 4790, it will hold up to almost anything in my budget, i was looking into some used gtx 680 2G for around 90$, newer generation i only could find cards for the same price of RX 570 4G (around $160), any thoughts or reccomendations?

Main rig: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X cooled by a Noctua NH-U14S; Mem: 16 GB(2x8) G.Skill TridentZ White 3200 MHz; GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 XC; MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk; Storage: XPG Spectrix S40G M.2 512GB SSD; Kingston A400 480GB SSD; 1TB Western Digital Blue HDD; PSU: Corsair CX750M Semi-modular (80+ bronze); CASE: Thermaltake Commander C36.

Secondary rig: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 @3.60GHz(Turbo @4.00GHz) cooled by Corsair H60; Mem: G.Skill RipJawsX DDR3 16GB(4x4) OC@2133MHz (11-11-11-30 (1.6V)); GPU: None(for now); MOBO: Gigabyte Z87-HD3; Storage:HyperX 120GB; PSU: Thermaltake SmarT series 750w (80+ bronze); CASE: Thermaltake Chaser A41.

I'd bite the bullet and get a RX570 over a GTX680 for THOSE prices.

Newer GPU's also have newer technologies like Memory compression and all the fun stuff older ones miss out on.

Whats your TOP END BUDGET, because you want value for your dollar.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The 570 is a much faster cars. I'd grab it instead of an ancient 680

I wanted the best bang for the buck, but i think i can go as high as a rx 570, as im really into playing csgo with the second rig and a other light games, i think old generation cards i will try to undercut them, a lot of people list here in brasil list for as much as they paid for the card...

The 570 is near double the performance of the 680 in modern games. It's worth every cent imo
