Cheap Ryzen 3rd Gen Motherboards

I recommend the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. The MAX series are updated and supports 3rd gen Ryzen out of the box. Really solid board for the price.

Hi,

for a while now I wanted to upgrade my CPU (Intel I5 6600) to a Ryzen 5 3600 and of course I need a new motherboard for that. The biggest reason I chose to (probably) use a Ryzen 5 is the Price. But there lies the problem. The Motherboard prices. So does anyone know a cheap motherboard or an older one with full Ryzen Support?

Main:  1650 v2   @ 4,6GHz   -   X79 Deluxe                -   GTX 1080 @ 2000MHz   -   24GB DDR3 @ 2400MHz / CL10

Side:   i7-4790K @ 4,5GHz   -   Maximus 7 Hero        -   GTX 1070 @ 2114MHz    -  16GB DDR3 @ 2666MHz / CL12

If you hate your PC there are even A320 boards with Ryzen 3000 support.

not really most, only some MSI B450 boards have them.

look for an MSI B450 Gaming plus/A-Pro/Tomahawk/Mortar, those have BIOS flashback. there's also a few other B450 boards that were released after zen 2 or something.

Grab a B450 tomahawk or Gaming pro carbon. Update with bios flashback before you can use 3rd gen ryzen
