so my macbook motherboard could be broke HELP

i have a mid 2010 white macbook

and i had to take the back off so i could replace the hard drive with a ssd 

and i put it in and turned on the macbook and the speakers were all distorted 

so i opened it back up tried reconnecting the speaker cable and it didn't work so i grabbed a speaker from my early 2009 macbook and it worked

but it was very quiet and didn't work very well not having any bass or anything but it still sounds distorted like the first speaker and i know the early 2009 macbook speaker was good 

so i am wondering if there is something wrong with the board or not 

speakers aren't too much so if i don't need to replace the board ill get one
