For me it was Need For Speed Underground 1 & 2 on the PS2 , i still think underground 2 is still the best arcade racer game to date

Runescape or socom 2/3. Had over 2000 hours in all three of those games (that's an easy estimate, was probably ALOT more). They were literally all I played for years.

Super Mario Bros 3. While I played the original a lot, the third is the one I enjoyed the most.

Honorable mentions:

Army Moves C64 - my friend and I played this all the time.

Doom got me into PC gaming, with multiplayer and level mods.

Duke nukem (not 3d), great games they were, and 3d was awesome, cept I didn't have a PC when that came out.

need for speed hot pursuit 2 for ps2 was the #1 game for me from my childhood. It is still a great game to play.
