Case Suggestions for Air Cooling

sirlamchops25

I am looking into transplanting my current build into a new case. After my AIO had leaked and damaged my GPU, I have decided to make the switch to an air cooled CPU tower, and therefore would prefer a case that has superior air flow. Some restrictions are:

Sub $100, or around that pricepoint

Enough GPU clearance for a triple-fan GPU, such as an ASUS ROG Strix card (GTX 1080 or similar variant)

I am heavily considering the Fractal Design Meshify C, as it is a compact enough mid tower that seems to have good air flow.

Also, since I am running a stock AMD CPU cooler, are there any good air coolers for a Ryzen 5 1600 around the $50 pricepoint?

Thanks in advance

ASUS ROG Strix X-470-F     ???     Fractal Design Meshify C

 500GB WD Blue Sata SSD     ???     Samsung  970EVO 500GB

                       2TB Seagate Firecude 3.5"     ???     2x8 Gb GSkill TridentZ RGB @3000mHz

Also forgot to mention, but a smaller footprint would be preferred, and better cable management is always a plus

I have owned mid - tier CM cases before, and tbh didnt really enjoy them bc they were a bit flimsy in terms of build and had a very average cable management. However, I dont know much about that specific case, so what are some selling points/ positive features?

ngl, Ive never heard of this brand and would rather go with a more known only because ive experienced so many issues with cheaper parts/ less renowned brands

Yeah after I recommended that case I forgot how much they are. It's designed for air cooling though

all good, thanks for the suggestion

its just that I need to allocate my money towards other components too, my AIO killed my GTX 1080 (going to RMA process rn) so I intend on getting a better air cooler as well as a new GPU

gotcha, Ive probably seen their RAM while browsing Newegg or something, but like I said I want to build for longevity so i would rather spend a little more on a better case. Good luck on your build

Meshify C is probably your best bet if you're looking for a Quality, Compact Case with Good Airflow.

For Air coolers for the 1600, Coolers like the Hyper 212 Black, Cryorig H7 and Arctic Freezer Esports 34 are cheap but effective coolers for good overclocking of the 1600 or 2600

awesome, thanks for the recommendations on the coolers too, the Arctic Freezer actually looks decent for its price, ill check out some reviews!

I've personally used both the Cryorig H7 for my 4790K, and an Arctic Freezer (33, not 34 but very similar) Esports ONE in Blue Build 2018 (link in signature), which held a R5 2600 to 4.05ghz@1.375V under 70ºC after multiple cinebench runs, so I can say with confidence they're good value coolers.
