The g4560 is a great budget CPU, but I don't know about that motherboard. How much do you want to spend on the motherboard?

I lurk

The price matters as to whether or not it's worth it, if this is an inexpensive upgrade then it's worth it but those are last gen parts. If you're buying new then you can do better

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Consider buying a high end FM2+ APU used on eBay or something. That will be a cheaper upgrade and give you quite a performance boost. Look into the A10-7890K (if you want an iGPU) or the Athlon X4 880K (if you don't need an iGPU)

Otherwise the G4560 is a good cpu, but i'd consider going with a more modern socket, like AM4, so you could easily upgrade your chip in the future.

Main system: Ryzen 5 1600 | ASRock A320M | 8GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM | GTX 1060 | 1TB WD BLUE

Server: AMD A6-7400K@4.3Ghz | 8GB 1866 DDR3 RAM | 2TB total storage

On the go: Thinkpad E440 | i5 4200M | 8GB DDR3 1600MHz | 500GB HDD

How much would it cost to upgrade to a G4560? If it's over $100 then I wouldn't recommend doing it, G4560 is only worth it if it's an inexpensive upgrade.

I'd recommend upgrading to something like a Ryzen 3 1200/2200G if it fits your budget.

Unless the G4560 is very, very, very cheap, id suggest skippikg that for something worthwhile

Hasnt been a good budget CPU in a long times, unless you get it for sub 50$ and a very cheap mobo.

And since its an older plattform an old prebuild is a much better buy

i wanted to get A8 7600 for 10$ but then ill need to buy new motherboard because mine is FM2, not FM2+.

Find a 2nd ord 3rd gen Core i5 + mobo.

Much better deal and more performance than a G4560.

Literally any of them.

Get an i7 if you can, but those sell for way to much anyways.

Keep ik mind you also need a mobo. That will also cost quite a bit.

But as i said, any of the quadcores are fine.

If it uses a compatibke chipset, then yes.

I dont have an overview with what chipsets are usable.
