I almost always cook for myself. Not only is it cheaper, but most of the time I can cook it just as well as a restaurant.

Usually, I only go out to eat on special occasions or if there's something hindering a home cooked meal.

There's just a part of me that feel a bit quicy about buying any kind of ready-made food. I've read too much alienation theory to be completely comfortable with the idea.

Well that's cool I kinda don't want to ever eat outside because my tounge already give up on flavor because I go to a very expensive place everything else kinda lack something, so I'm kinda learning How To cook now.

There's really no down side to learning to cook.

In fact everyone should know how to make food at home.

I'm not much of a cook but I don't usually buy premade meals. Still, being Italian, ordering or going out for Pizza is a relatively common occurrence for me; it's very cheap where I live and "proper" Pizza isn't even junk food (unless you go out of your way to have junk added to it).

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

For me it depends, but I like to cook myself whenever I have time. In my opinion, cooking is part of an essential set of skills every adult should have. It doesn't have to be perfect, but enough to prepare simple dishes.
Several months ago, I was shopping at the supermarket and an older lady looked at the contents of my shopping cart and asked me whether I actually cooked myself because there were some actual ingredients and no convenience food items in there. She was quite surprised when I told her that I do cook.

I have anaphylactic allergies (TO GARLIC) so I can't really eat anything that is not made from scratch by me. But yeah, when you learn how to cook properly, you do it the way that you like it and that's priceless. Also it's pretty satisfying to master the craft. For hygiene, I have many friends that work in the industry, and it can get pretty gross, even in high end places. I would rather eat something that I cooked (even tho I always have a dog in my kitchen and that's a big no no for restaurants) than who knows how many breeds of cockroaces have in any given restaurant.

Well I don't think that many people will make pizza themself, I tried first time bread fail, second time can't like bake it properly.

That's a big OOF, well I like garlic but it's not like you have to add garlic for every food you made. Yeah very satisfying when you get it right. Well I kinda really care about hygiene but sometimes you just don't think about it and just eat.

Well I don't cook something on the road but sometimes bringing cooked food. And how much fun it will be when cooking.

anyway outside /ready made food are quite disappointing. taste changes badly alot after being put into takeaway box.

also restaurants (mostly) will never wash the ingredient.

Same. Yeah that's why I want to cook even on a dish I wouldn't really made myself. I don't really do takeaway I would rather not, except Like soup/soto. Well that's New.

I do order more than I want to, due to often not having the time to cook, but when I can I cook myself. It's healthier, cheaper and I can control what nutritious values I want to get. To be clear, I hate cooking, I like to eat but I see food as a means of survival, I won't spend hours in kitchen experimenting with food.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Ordering more than needed is fine, if its not wasted if it is I wouldn't really like the idea of. Well cooking doesn't mean being healthy but nice one. Actually same I see food a something necessary, Well that's unfortunate it's not like everyone like to cook anyway.

Of course, I do cook french fries and stuff like that when I crave it, but most of the time I cook healthy, more before when I had the time for gym than nowadays, but I try to not eat foods with lots of fats, with variety of ingredients, not to overkill on spices and such. You know, the usual.

It depends on what I'm making. If it takes more than an hour to prep, it's going to test my patience. But most things I make I can prep and cook within a half hour to an hour.

*Prep time is whatever I actively have to do. So if something takes like an hour to marinate, that doesn't count as prep time for me.

@Mira Yurizaki You're supposed to look at it while marinating. Instill fear into the meat. Make the BBQ sauce feel its demise approaching.
