I say im a pc gamer but...

brownninja97

So ive been a pc gamer for about 2 years now and its just hit me, my top 3 favourite games are not on it,

1. Persona 3 portable  (psp)

2. Pokemon emerald  (gba)

3. Granturismo 4   (ps2)

I find this quite odd that i call myself a pc gamer yet none of my favourite games are on there, i mean skyrim is likely to be in my top ten but its likely to be dominated my ps2 games and psp or gba games. Is this is the same with you guys, i know i can emulate but that doesnt fully recreate the experience. Do any of you face this problem?

I've been a PC gamer for 12 years, and I now hate video games. The Gamecube and Playstation 2 were the good days during my gaming history.

I don't really consider myself a Gamer, but PC Games are my favourite. I also like some console games, but mostly the old school ones.

Im not really sure as to why, yes i use my controller, i use a ps3 controller because i have small hands, if its gba then i use my phone or keyboard, i guess its different because ive grown up, i hope i dont loss interest in games, that would suck big time.

Personally I think the notion of calling myself a "PC" gamer is a bit dumb.

I am not a Politically Correct gamer.... hue.

But seriously. Yeah most of my favorite games are on PC (Modded Skyrim is probably in the top) but I don't really see a point in calling myself a "PC" gamer. I just...... game.

its not really what your top games are, more what you use every day.  About 4 of my top 5 games were originally on console, but i consider myself a PC gamer becasue for the last 3 years, ive only played games on PC

I see people classifying themselves as a pc gamer is just the objectification of ones self to be above the other's

games are like cake - many styles and types

So yeah some of the best games arnt on pc and I dont classify myself as a pc gamer

Its all about those volumetric clouds

Nothing wrong with liking games on other platforms. There is no need to put ourselves in this box saying "I am a PC gamer". The world is not that simple.

Consider yourself as gamer. You prefer PC as platform, but consoles have some of your favourite games. Simple as that.

I'm kinda in same situation too. As a kid i fell in love with N64 games like Goldeneye, Super mario 64 and Mario kart. When i grew little bit older, i saved money and bought Gamecube and almost all of my all time favourite games are on GC and N64. But i still always prefered PC as platform. Mostly because console games are almost always ported to PC and PC is superior platform because it's more open.

I see that all your Favs are a bit older games and i assume you played them a lot when you were a kid. Maybe half of it is just nostalgia.

Signature is for bragging what's inside your case right? Hmm. so here it is.

Core i7 4770k @4.2Ghz Cooled by Noctua NH-U12P SE2 - Asus Maximus VI Hero - 8GB DDR3 Kingston HyperX Genesis - Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 4GB - 2 Kingston HyperX 3K 120Gb SSDs And WD black 1TB - Corsair HX750 aaand that's pretty much it
