Dual motherboards in the Thermaltake core x9 mod

StorPonke

So I have the core x9 and I was thinking of getting a Nas and then i got the idea of building one in the case i already have , since It's so large and has a removable motherboard tray. I have zero expirience in modding but I'm quite handy with small electronic repairs and powertools. I can't find spare motherboard trays for this case, and i know it doesn't fit but the I don't need the cable holes of both of the motherboard trays. So essentially what I'm asking is would this be reasonable and if so I would apreaciate a link for the tray(eu shipping). And reccomendations for Nas builds are also welcome. Thanks!

Id just get some abs and make a new floor. And use inserts and spacers to get the main board to line back up. I have one of those cases and I was really thinking about it after seeing your post.

Looks like there is a lot of room in that case front, if you get a sheet of acrylic cut and standoff's put into place I can't see why it wouldn't work. Any local plastics shop should be able to do that for you given the measurements and location for standoffs.
