What to do Before selling a CPU i.e the information on it.

Hey everyone!

 

I wasn't too sure if this was supposed to go into the buying/selling thread, but I don't intend to sell it here, just a bit of question which google couldn't find answers to. I've currently listed my CPU for sale on Ebay AU, however, it just hit me that the PC wasn't wiped (reset to factory settings) before I disassembled everything apart. Everything works, but the only things I'm selling are the CPU, MOBO and Ram as a combo. Now, Was I supposed to reset the computer to factory settings to give the new user a fresh installation of their OS, or does this not apply in this case? Can I just sell the CPU as is without having to reset the BIOS/ settings. FYI I have not tampered with any of the settings when the cpu was purchased, it is still in factory mode.

Nah as long as your storage drives arent sold, they wont get any information out of that. You might still have your bios settings saved as profile in the board's BIOS chip, but that's it/
