My oneplus 6t is getting 3.5 hours of screen on time, and I'm already at 45 %. Is this normal?

yeah modern phones tend to not last very on on their batteries

IDK what you mean, my phone averages 8 hours per day.

That's far from the average. I'd assume you're in Wifi most of the time. Even my Zenfone 3 Zoom bested out at like 14 hours, and that's with a mid tier SoC and a 5,000mah battery.

Well I use quite a lot of data, 5.2 GBs in like 20 days. And this is with a top-tier SoC.

I don't think that's sad, it's good that we get that much SoT. I remember before when just 4 hours was good.

Yes, but wifi is significantly less power draining than being on a cellular network.

Noone knows how you use your phone.

Is this 3.5 hours only watching a dark image? Reading ebooks?

watching youtube? Gaming hardcore?

 

Also, on Wifi or Mobile data? Did you have very good or bad signal?

 

So many parameters that will change this...

 

6 - 8 hours from 100% to 1-5%~ seems very realistic in an average usecase, depending on how you use it etc.

 

Mine for example has atm almost 3 hourse SoT, and has used up 42% battery for that. Mostly beeing at home in Wifi.
