Motherboard temperature reaching 90°c

So I decided to use my old pc as a Minecraft server but that temperature looks high af (90°c idle), I have already used compressed air, but that doesn't help, maybe it's normal?

It could be a defective sensor or the software doesn't know how to read it. I've seen multiple temperature monitors report something is like well over 100C and some monitors can't assess my processor's temperature correctly.

If you're feeling ballsy, you could verify it by touching various parts of the board. Or you could get a IR thermometer, they're pretty cheap on Amazon.

If you have a spare pc fan laying around try making it blow on the mobo VRM's, see if it changes anything.

motherboard temp not CPU temp, you should be safe. VRMs can often operate safely up to 130 or even 150 degrees,

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
