motherboards for your 4th gen processor are quite old, you will not at all get fair prices from newegg. What used sites can you buy from?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Typically I think that for most Intel processors, the speed of the memory doesn't matter too much. The price seems a bit steep to invest just for usb and audio ports in the front. It looks like around 200+ for even used hardware. Maybe try your luck on craigslist or kijiji?

ebay? Because those on newegg are terribly priced. You can buy brand new boards for that kind of money and you might as well start fresh at that point

what a joke

that board should be like $50-60 now given it's used

I think that's a lot for a 4460, I'd get a new CPU instead if your current board allows, a 4770 maybe or just save for a new build

Building a PC is usually cheaper, and you get better components, for less.  What's your budget?

I'd honestly wait a month to be honest thinking it over more.  Lisa Su, the head of AMD, is revealing Zen 2 and probably Navi in roughly a month.  You'll seen very competitive GPUs and CPUs then most likely.  It should drive prices down in that regard unless you must right now.

im not an amd fan =/ i love  Intel and NVIDIA  but i mean no disrespect  by that

I mean I wouldn't really buy based on brand loyalty rather what's best at that price point.  But, even then with both launching soon it's likely going to force Intel and Nvidia's prices down a bit.

ya heres hoping lol

Ya, you don't need a 1500 buck rig for that.  I can toy with pcpartpicker if you need this now.

but i do stream sometimes and everything drops when i do i have gig network so its not my internet speed i just want something over kill

Just my two cents for OP, I'd go with the Ryzen 5 1600 rig just because of it's amazing value. It would do great in streaming too.

The Ryzen 7 1700 rig is AMAZING for streaming, being to run games AND x264 streams.

In both cases, I'd wait for Zen 2, as mentioned above.
