Metro Last Light and THQ bankrupcy!?

YowZman

Is anyone else worried that we won't get to play Metro Last Light now that THQ have filed for bankruptcy? 2033 was freaking awesome. It would be a train wreck of disappointment, if it was pulled. Or does anyone know what more is going on?

Be interesting to see what happens that's for sure. I for one will be a little disappointed if the game gets axed but not much we can do about that unfortunately

Perhaps we could start an online petition to show support for the game. Obviously they'll be worried about sales in a very paranoid sort of way.

Would there be a possibility to fund further development of the game via kickstater if it does get axed?

I would think so. Release date is earlier this year, so the budget gap can't be that big if they do pull the plug.

Game development will continue as normal according to THQ. THQ site

So I'm not to worried atm. They say they are in talks with a potential buyer.

Yeah, but not like Command&Conquer, StarCraft etc. Is more like you take strategic points on the map with squads of men, tanks ++ and score more than you enemy. Tbh I don't remember very well. I remember I loved it :D But its been a long time since I played it. :)

I'm not too worried, THQ is boss :)

I'm waiting more for Saints Row 4 though.

I just hope they aren't bought by EA or Activision. Rather not Ubisoft either, but I could live with that...

That would depend on who gets the asset when everything is sold off. Hopefully the one investment firm that is trying to buy thq will win and continue all game projects, but people are currently trying to block that deal which could result in their assets being split and sold off in parts, causing for a scenario where most of their games do not end up ever being released but also being owned by companies that will not allow a kickstarter.
