RTX 2060 + ryzen 3 2200g

I have a ryzen 3 2200g and I am looking at pairing it with an RTX 2060. Will the ryzen bottleneck the RTX? And is it worth going for RTX right now.

I am probably a nerd that loves tech.

1080p? Yes.

 

1440p? Maybe.

 

4K? No.

Yes. the Ryzen 3 barely bottlenecks an RX580 / GTX 1060. Drop the RTX for the GTX 1660ti and use the extra cash for a Ryzen 5 2600(x). You will get better performance due to the lack of a bottleneck, unless you really want ray tracing or want the RTX's video encoder then the GTX 1660ti makes more sense.

4c/4t CPUs are obsolete for gaming in 2019 imo, when looking at AAA titles anyway. You could get a 2060 now and get a Zen2 based Ryzen chip later this year to remove the bottleneck again.

Wait 2 months and pickup Navi and Ryzen 3rd gen :)

Since you will have dedicated graphics I would opt for the 2600/X esp if going with a 2060.  Would make a nice pair.  

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master 

 

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar
