looking to build a pc for everyday use.  If you can suggest entire build that'd be even better.

Is this just a shared PC for checking facebook and email for different family members? A PC for netflix and other media?

What kind of budget are you looking to stay in? Do you need a monitor and peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and speakers as well? Is there a reason you want to build rather than buy a prebuilt for this use?

You can have a lot of different grades of Family PCs as performance can still be a priority for a machine such as this.

literally anything in the current generation of AMD and Intel, it will just come down to budget at that point

I always like to start these with a few questions.

What kind of budget are you looking to stay in? Do you need a monitor (or two)? Do you need peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and speakers as well? Is there a reason you want to build rather than buy a prebuilt for this use? Do you need a wifi card or can you get a wired connection?

The cheapest possible, no peripherals or anything, only to check and only to check if it worth to build an everyday use pc or to buy a prebuit one

If you look on Amazon, they have a lot of what I would call everyday/family computers in their refub page, ranging from  160 USD and up. Maybe what you are looking for and save you some time and maybe money.  https://www.amazon.com/s?k=refurbished+desktop+computers+with+windows+10&crid=2ICONZG6OWD48&sprefix=reburbished+%2Caps%2C479&ref=nb_sb_ss_sc_7_12

If you are using all current gen parts that are unused for $250 you could build something like this:

However, If you wish to spend less money you could buy used parts or a used prebuilt.

Even a high-end Intel Pentium will pretty much do.

If you need more power just go with a Core i3.  That should be enough and more for simple tasks.

If you excuse me for using the PC building f-word here, I think that the Athlon 200GE would be better than a pentium from a future proofing perspective, as the socket will be supported until at least 2020, allowing for an easier upgrade. Though if there is a pentium that would offer better performance per dollar than the Athlon I would suggest that.

At the lowend a prebuilt is the better option.

If you had an actual budget the answer might be different.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
