I should change something at my PC?

Hello,

I have a old PC that I use as my main pc at the moment. Today I ran an User benchmark test and I had these results.

UserBenchmarks: Game 37%, Desk 55%, Work 36%
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 - 61.1%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 - 36.5%
SSD: Team L5 LITE SSD 120GB - 46.4%
SSD: Kingston A400 240GB - 58.1%
HDD: Samsung M3 Portable 500GB - 42.8%
RAM: Unknown DDR3 CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 Hynix HMT351U6CFR8C-PB Nanya NT4GC64B8HG0NF-DI 12GB - 29%
MBD: Dell OptiPlex 7010

Power Supply: Dell 0FC1NX L275EM-00 275W FC1NX

As I said, It is a bad pc but I can't afford something better at the moment.

I have some questions.

1. I see that some components are not performing as excepted, the GPU and the first SSD mostly. There is a part that keeps these behind? I should change something in the near future?

2. A friend wants to sell me an GTX 970. I know that this is a better GPU, but it will work ok on my PC? It will be held behind by it?

3. I have another power supply, an KCAS 500W and another motherboard, an ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 (that does not work with my case atm). I should replace my parts with these?

I'd probably buy a new PSU (CX450M or system power 9 is good) put the GTX 970 in.

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

It's a good card to get, but it will be held back by your CPU. Having it now and getting a CPU later is a good idea, Ryzen processors will be hitting the used market and they'll be superb value.

not really worth it, your current setup should be short term as it is. A newer PSU and fresh CPU/mobo/ram are ideal later down the line.

Unless your current PSU doesn't support a 970, then consider that upgrade sooner.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i don't think it will be held back much by the cpu, 3rd gen i5 can handle upto gtx 1060 6gb just like my i5 2nd gen can go upto 1050 ti without any major bottleneck according to bottleneck calculator.

Bottleneck calculator is not accurate whatsoever, and my brother's i5 7400 bottlenecks his 970 so it's definitely far from an ideal combo.

really? but my brother's i3 6100 seems to be okay with his 1050 ti.

It varies game to game, sometimes it'll be fine (bottlenecks aren't absolute) but there are many situations where a 3rd gen CPU isn't up to snuff for a decent GPU. The 970 is a good bit faster than the 1050 ti as well, that's a key factor.

but he has it paired with a dual core cpu and 1050 ti is a decent entry level gaming gpu.

Yes the 1050 ti is a decent card. There are games that are fine with a dual core, but don't expect to be crushing frames in battlefield or taking on hoards of AI enemies in For Honor. The 6100 has its limits, as does the 3470, and it's likely to run into them in modern games.
