corsair 3200 mhz mem only showing 1066 mhz in cpu z help me understand please

1. you probably didn't set it to the right speed in bios (activate the XMP profile)

2. CPU-Z reports speed half of what they're rated because DDR = DOUBLE data rate

Check your BIOS settings, you can sometimes set the RAM speed there

it's normal when you havent enabled XMP to let it run 3200MHz data rate (it's now running 2133MHz). It will only show 1600MHz after enabling XMP because CPU-Z reads the I/O bus clock, which is half of the data rate (hence DDR, double data rate)
