Noctua nh-d15 vs be quiet 360 loop

ZEEF

Hi! (Not sure if posted in the right forum & I'm sorry if it isn't!)

I'm currently running a "noctua nh-d15" on a i7-4770k OC'ed to 4.5Ghz, and while i like the coolor and the temps i really don't like the sound level.

I'm just about to upgrade basicly everything in my PC and i was looking at the "Be quiet 360 loop" as my new cooler but i really down wanna downgrade cooler just to lower the noise level, so i was wondering if anyone here knows how the 2 coolers perform compared to each other? :)

(The reason I'm going with a 360 loop is because i was kinda hoping for even better cooling and i chose be quiet because of the sound level and because i don't want any RGB stuff)

You should just keep the Noctua nh-d15 and just change the fans, to the relatively new Corsair ML (magnetic levitation)

The NH-D15 should be plenty for cooling and very quiet.

What rpm are you running the fans at and what are your temps? What core voltage are you using for the cpu? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

I don't really wanna lower my fan speeds, i want maximum cooling with as little sound as possible, which is why i was looking at the "be quiet 360 loop"

& why i was wondering how the 2 coolers compare in cooling performance.

Quiet fans and coolers are generally meant to be run at low rpm but have more cooling headroom when needed. The same fans are generally not very quiet at max rpm.

The Silent Loop 360 performs a bit better than the NH-D15 and may be a bit quieter or noisier depending on the performance you're trying to hit. It isn't significantly quieter if you're maintaining the same cooling performance though. https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/be_quiet_silent_loop_360_review,9.html

Its also down to your layout as apparently the Noctua is much louder in pull configuration than push.

It could also be a mismatch between your rear case fan and the cooler fans, depending on how close they are to each other.
