Sucks I recently bought a 2600 for $165 and a B450 mobo for $100... Just before I realized that the 3rd gen was gonna drop soon. Should've waited on the sales!

interestingly, the price is limited to just 1 CPU.

If you want to buy more than one it cost more.

I asked a store associate why this is and they said they actually loose money on the CPUs, some guys would come in and buy them all up if they could. Some people still try to get around this by coming every week or so and buying a CPU, though they can technically refuse the sale.

A little bugged that i just spent $210 after tax on a 2600 combo. This is such a better value.

It's certainly a deal that is meant to draw you in. If they didn't limit it, somebody would buy the bin and resell at profit.

You could just go in and out again, depending on how it's worded. Or just get friends to buy them.

Real good too. The asus strix b450 is on sale for 80 bucks and you still get another 30 off if you buy a cpu at the same time.

If my i7 4790k was not a champ still I would be all over one of these ryzen deals that have been popping up this month. The ryzen 5 2600 was super tempting but not much of an upgrade.  Still.

Gat dam I just checked my local stores website....these combo deals have me WANTING TO SCRATCH THE ITCH IVE BEEN TRYING TO IGNORE FOR NEXT ZEN RELEASE.  R5 2600x + mobo for $210...or a 1700x + mobo for $185 (I like my 1700)

 

Wait Trist...just wait...don't drive 18 minutes from work after work and buy this.  Don't you dare do it!  Cause if you do they will likely bundle you some RAM at a good price too!

Excellent find... To those that actually live in the vicinity of a Microcenter. Over 600 miles to my nearest one. It might be a basic Ryzen 5 but it packs a punch in 1440p.

Im thinking of grabbing one up at this price.  Its sub $100, I could flip the chip in 3-4 months for $88 bucks (my cost plus tax) Probably get a good mobo for the upgrade path.  Only 18 minutes away for me (and something funny...Ive never walked into a Microcenter once so now may be the time!)
