RX 580 Doom Crashes on vulkan

I have the latest drivers but as soon as I change the game to vulkan it crashes, what could I do?

If it crashes when going to Vulkan, did you get the directions from Spock?

Did you ever resolve this issue? I am having the same issue when trying to use Vulkan. I can delete the game's config files (Located in C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base   (Not the folders, those are your save games) to use OpenGL, which works but I am not getting ideal performance for my GPU. RX 580 8GB. I have tried manually installing Vulkan RunTime but it did not work. I am out of ideas

Fixed issue in release notes:

 

• DOOM™ may experience an application hang during launch on AMD XConnect™ Technology system configurations.

I would recommend doing a clean install of it as well.

I tried installing vulkan manually too but ended up fixing it by installing another version of DOOM, turns out there is a version that gives you two quick access icons on the desktop, one for vulkan one for openGL.
