So is my RTX2080 toast?

Getting weird horizontal lines across the screen with my 5 day old asus turbo rtx 2080. I have reseated the card, reinstalled drivers, tried multiple ports, monitors and cables. Haven't seen a similar issue with other 2080 GPUs around the web. happens in cold boot too. I'm assuming video card is toast because it appears on the boot screen before drivers are loaded. It was working fine prior to today. I don't belive i ever heard the fan go crazy or temps reach that high. didn't really monitored since i didnt even have time to install the tools to monitor the temperature. Only played anthem and forza horizon 4.

RMA it. Or it might be faster to get a replacement through the seller you bought from, they might even cross ship if you're lucky.

I do have another pc, but its a small factor machine that wont fit a full size card like the 2080. ill just RMA  it.

I would send it back to where you bought it from and not go through EVGA since its only 5 days old.  Those messed up lines are a VRAM issue.  Your VRAM has gone south.

i wouldnt even bother troubleshooting if it's within 30day return period, just more time wasted.

If you bought it from a store take it back and get a replacement saves a long waiting time.

You guys have it all wrong. Asus clearly states “in search of incredible” it’s doing so by data mining the matrix on boot. See all that matrix source code  furthermore, matrix is green NVIDIA is green...
