What CPU is better for streaming

2600x is better for streaming because of the extra threads.

Yup. If you can wait a few more months, Ryzen 3000 series will be out, and will be even better! You can even buy the full system now, and when they come out buy the new  cpu, and sell off your old one :D

Ryzen 3000 series is suspected to have 8 core, 12 core, and 16 core variants at a minimum. Not sure the price but the 12 core is likely to be ~329 USD or something I think..

If you can, I would wait until the 3000 series Ryzens come out, as even if you don't want one, it should lower the prices on the 2xxx-series.  It could also lower prices on some of the more normal priced Intel processors like the 8700k.

Dont expect the 16 core variant for a while for mainstream.

Buy a GTX 1660 Ti or any RTX and stream using NVENC and done, CPU becomes meaningless.

The 16 core is expected to be an R9 or something to laugh at intel's naming scheme.
