36 hours til Order! Please Review

I am building a new rig strictly for gaming, I'll be ordering in 36 hours I've seen lots of deals and price cuts, but like everyone else just want the best bang for buck... any help is appreciated, rip my list apart & rebuild it, criticize, whatever, all input welcome no preference on parts or manufacturer.  This is USD based, and I need everything.  My last PC was stolen shortly after I built it, due to lack of home security, that problem is fixed. My max is $1500 with upgrades being important for longevity.  Is the mouse good enough?  Will there be a bottleneck issue? Are my parts junk? Can I get something better for the same amount? Only thing I would change is the cooler. You shouldn't buy cheap AIOs.. Air coolers are just way better for the same price.. Even good AIOs are only so good, they're more for looks than performance, but that one isn't good for anything..

Single fan AIOs are bad price to performance, you could spend less on an air cooler and have better temps, otherwise it looks fine.

Skimming through, I can tell you that you can get a 1700 8-core for less than a 2600X 6-core, if you'd like. If you had an increased budget, I would suggest getting at least a 1440p monitor if you absolutely have to get anything above 24-25 inches, because the screen door effect is really noticeable on larger panels like that 27-inch one you chose out. If strictly for gaming, you might not value color accuracy in a display, so I can forgive the fact that it is a TN panel, though that 2ms response time is pretty high for a TN panel. Headphones are largely down to personal preference, so take advantage of any return policies if you find that headset to be not up to snuff, or just try a pair in a store. I cannot find any glaring issues and what I've said are mostly just my two cents.

Okay, OP, you should look into a bigger rad for your cooler. I don't know if you plan on overclocking, but with that little thing, you're better off with using a stock cooler (included in the 1700, non X)

Like everyone said, i would drop the AIO cooler. The stock cooler with the 2600x is more than capable of cooling it.

May want to consider additional storage. SSDs are great, but you may want to consider an hdd for smaller or unimportant files such as music, documents, pictures, videos, etc.

CPU Cooler same teir of CPU cooler on the performance tier just  cheaper
CPU change (2600 is a 2600X pretty much not worth the extra $35)
Found pretty much the same ram for cheaper and it's black not blue so doesn't stand out as much (might matter to you might not))
using RTX 2070 now not 2060 will affect gaming performance and is worth some of the other minor sacrifices
 

Forgot the 2600 has a good stock cooler if your not overclocking use that instead saving you $40 which could be used for pocket change or 2700 (would put you $20 over if you did that though but that comes with a cooler and extra 2 cores are nice to have)

This is strictly gaming all music, video, etc will be on laptop.  So I did plan on using an OC software to boost performance and at same time I'm okay with cooling the hell out of it so what CPU fan should I get, do I need extra case fans? Does the tower seem proportionate to the build?

While I am at it, I'd also replace the mouse with something better. I recommend the Logitech G203. It probably has a better mouse sensor than whatever is in the Redragon one.

 

Also, unless there is any reason to go with the newer 2600, I would go for the 1700, which, for the same price, has 2 additional cores. It will help.

honestly AMDs stock cooler will be very competitive with that AIO, just so you're aware. If you just want the look then that's fine, it's your pc, just make sure you remove the plastic from the waterblock

I have been reading about alot of the 2070 and 2080 having death issues shortly after being installed, so your saying I should go with the 2700?

I forgot that the stock coolers aren't all shit anymore and AMDs stock coolers are pretty good. (and I went for a CPU cooler which is good enough) also that CPU cooler is better than the stock coolers (not massively but still better)

That was when it first launched you should be fine now (and hell if your not it will be replaced by your warranty) also it wasn't every card that was affect only a few so you'd just be unlucky to get one that did even if the problem still fully existed

So to keep everything in perspective I should goto the 2070? and the 2700 mobo?  and still come in @ $1500 I don't see how that's possible without taking away from other components and getting lesser quality

The list is below. The parts in this list are pretty much just as good (motherboards ever so slightly worse but nothing in a meaningful way. the ram is the same just cheaper pretty much and by using a stock cooler your saving $90 enabling most of this)

Sound on Motherboards has been pretty good for a while now and if you want better sound you would need to use an external DAC etc. anyways. As for thermal paste paste the stock thermal paste will be fine but if your worried it won't be get some on amazon while your at it, good thermal paste is $5-8 max normally (NT-H1 is pretty good and not that much) but if your not overclocking stock is fine.

in your opinion do i need to overclock for pubg, sniper elite etc and what is a DAC? Digital audio converter?

Do I need to overclock my Ram?  The BIOS has alot of options and I'm not sure what I should change if anything..
