booting from Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2M2 & x9dri

Go to solution Solved by Snipergod87,

NVMe boot support was not added until later motherboards and processors.  You have a board that supports Xeon v1 and v2's you need at least v3's as far as im aware, which means the x10 or later platforms

You can also see on the Super micro page for that AIC that it is not validated on any X9 platforms.

i bought a Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2M2 ssd for my supermicro X9dri motherboard and I'm able to install Windows 10 on it, in the Bios and UEFI shell I'm unable to boot from it I have tried so many things but no luck

Update BIOS?

  • 3 months later...

Sorry for necroing this thread a bit, but does this nvme card work with bifurcation on the X9 mb? I don't need the boot, just access dual nvme drives.
