You should be just fine with that. I would recommend looking at getting a Z97 board though if you can find one for a decent price since your B85 board does not support overclocking so you are losing some potential performance gains from not being able to overclock.

Not really.

I play with overclocked 4770k and 1080ti at 165Hz and while the old Haswell i7 is starting to show its age, it's still capable to give me well over 100FPS in any game.

At 1080p you will notice high cpu usage while gaming, (i had a 4790k + 1070(not ti) ), I play 1440p 165hz and with high fps count you will run almost cpu like 80-90% just gaming, If you want to game more than 60fps you will need a 8600k or higher. Thats what I've done, switched from my 4790k to a 8600k, Now I barely see 100% cpu usage while gaming+youtube(or twitch)+background progrmas (ts,discord etc).

If you are playing and you hit 100% cpu usage try to raise your graphic settings to push less fps, But on games that pushes fps  like csgo you will have high cpu loads. Try to limit fps.

To get the most of your pc I first would buy a 1440p 144hz(165) gsync(love it) monitor, and then save for a cpu+mobo+ram but at 1440p its harder to bottleneck your cpu than 1080p .

First (if you are gaming oriented) Monitor(400-450$) > PSU(100$) > Mobo + RAM + CPU(120+130$+300$)

Case: Corsair 760T  |  Psu: Evga  650w p2 | Cpu-Cooler : Noctua Nh-d15 | Cpu : 8600k  | Gpu: Gygabyte 1070 g1 | Ram: 2x8gb Gskill Trident-Z 3000mhz |  Mobo : Aorus GA-Z370 Gaming K3 | Storage : Ocz 120gb sata ssd , sandisk 480gb ssd , wd 1gb hdd | Keyboard : Corsair k95 rgb plat. | Mouse : Razer deathadder elite | Monitor: Dell s2417DG (1440p 165hz gsync) & a crappy hp 24' ips 1080p | Audio: Schiit stack + Akg k712pro + Blue yeti.

Nice one Cat.  Yes so long as the CPU is overclocked like yours.  If not there will be some bottlenecking going on with the video card pissed at the CPU not driving it faster and what not.
