The ASUS Prime Z370 is a very nice board. Can you give us some more details why you want to upgrade?

What type of CPU do you have? Do you plan on overclocking? What type of features are you looking for?

As far as I'm concerned, it's a cheap board sold at mid range board prices.

I've helped a friend and a customer build a PC with this board, and Z270 Prime was our go to board for mining rigs since it was the best bag for the amount of PCI slots. They might not be the best but they are a solid board for the price.

I just looked them up on PCPartPicker and Amazon and I will admit they are bit overpriced there. I was getting them from MicroCenter which always has better prices (Currently $148 at MicroCenter + $30 off if you get a CPU)

Only real advantage I see in the Prime Z370-A is that it has a good BIOS and looks cool. There are boards that are way better for overclocking in terms of price/value, like an ASRock Z370 Extreme4.

Only upgrade that makes a dollar of sense is the 9900k, which is demanding on the board when overclocked

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi is the best option atm, higher end Z390 Aorus boards are good too if you want their extra features. MSI, Asrock and Asus boards all lag behind as far as performance goes.

Even at that low of a price, Gigabyte Z390 UD still has a better VRM. Keep in mind that 8700k isnt a power friendly CPU, nor is any upgrade on the same platform.

@Herman Mcpootis has a good point. If you don't plan on overclocking a lot I'd just get a Wi-Fi card and save yourself some money.

If you do want a new board with WiFi here's your Z390 offerings: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#c=135&e=31,30&f=2

I'm a MSI fanboy so my first suggestion would be the MSI Z370 ACE, but the AsRock Z390 Taichi and ASUS ROG Maximums XI are nice for the price.

There are USB WiFi things for like 5-10€

There are also PCIe WiFi things for like 10-20€

Why replace the Board when there are better/cheaper ways?!
