Google is a great company, but they forget one crucial thing :

if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Youtube was absolutely fine years ago, Youtube started changing, people didn't like it.
Google started Joining, People are hating on it.

As I said,
If it isn't broken, don't F*cking fix it. :l

That is the same mentality that Apple uses with the Mac Pro, which is why we had a 5770 in it for the past several years. It's not always the best policy.

Google Canary has been around for years, it's the alpha version of Chrome and gets updates 12 weeks before Chrome does.  Chrome beta gets updates 6 weeks before Chrome.

I'm convinced they do it for the same reason grocery stores rearrange their stock. For the stores, it's to get you to wander around the store so you buy more things. For Google, it gets people talking about their website.

Oh God no. Youtube used to be awful. Take off your nostalgia goggles and you will realize how crappy it was.

4:3 aspect ratio with awful quality. No partners (so nobody got paid for making YouTube videos). Nobody used the rating system properly (although I think YouTube's new color scheme for likes/dislikes is awful). It looked really ugly. The search algorithm for finding users and videos barely worked. I could go on.

People forget all the good changes and now take them for granted, and only remembers all the bad things.

Anyway about the news. It's not Chrome Canary that's the news, it's that it now includes Google Now. So Chrome stable will get Google now in like 10 weeks or whatever Google's release schedule is. If it's not turned on by default then I don't see the harm (in before slippery slope). I would have preferred if it was an addon though.

Especially since they got rid of iGoogle. I've had to make do with extensions for a home page.

I am using it on my MacBook right now... It's been here for a long time...

It feels as though no games ever leave the BETA stage anymore, until about 3 years after it officially releases. - Shd0w2 2014
