I have been wanting to build a new machine to replace the one I built in 2013. The thing is the Fractal Design R4 I have is just too big for me, I want to down size. Ive been playing with the idea of mATX or mini ITX build for the new machine. I wanted to get some suggestions for SFF cases. Feature wise I need at least 1x 3.5" Drive bay for mass storage, as 2.5" SSD's dont really need to be bolted in and I may go M.2 for the OS drive. Also I need decent-ish air flow as this will likely be a air cooled system, and as this machine will be for some gaming I want to make sure im not baking any of the components. I have not decided on other parts as of yet as Im still toying with the idea of a new build. Plus I want to wait for the new Ryzen chips to see how they stack up.

So far I kinda looked at the Fractal Design Node 202, but I dont like the fact it does not have 3.5" drive support as 2.5" drives dont really have large capacities Im looking for, as I have a massive steam library and a large media library on my current machine. Price wise Im looking between $1-$150 USD, Id be willing to do a little more if the case if worth it.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

When it comes to SSF builds, that NEED to be SFF, i honestly beleve it better to just make one urself.

You can shape it to specific size and shape requirments, and even build it around specific components that you have already bought.

Create it out of a plastic of ur choice, or wood which can be covered in vinyl after,  and its not that hard, just cut sand/shape and glue/screw/bolt together.

CPU: Intel i7 3930k w/OC & EK Supremacy EVO Block | Motherboard: Asus P9x79 Pro  | RAM: G.Skill 4x4 1866 CL9 | PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w Corsair RM 750w Gold (2021)|

Im not handy with tools dude. Which is why I have to buy an off the shelf unit. Plus I want something that looks half way decent. Any thing I cobble together will look like crap. I know because I dont have that level of patience to make it look good.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

It's shoebox sized!

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?
