Need help with a build for my cousin

So my cousin is wanting to build a PC to play games, use pro tools, and video edit on. I have this made up so far: 

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. His budget is $400-$500.

The motherboard, out the box, isn't compatible with the CPU. You need to get a generation 1 ryzen chip to update the BIOS, like a ryzen 1600 or ryzen 1200. AMD can send you a chip on loan, btw.

 

Also, that RAM is amazingly slow and will actually make the 2200g perform slower. Ryzen likes fast RAM and performs better at it. The best point you can get is 3000mhz. The RX 560 is kinda slow, maybe try an RX 570? Thats much faster. 

 

Last, the hard drive is going to give slow boot times and slow program loading times. I think your cousin increasing his budget $100 could get him much better stuff.

Doesn't have a large HDD but you can always add one in later if needed. Not sure how long the 580 will be available at that price but for $25 more than a 560, it's crazy to pass it up.

I have a 1tb hdd i can give him, as i dont need 2tb in my main rig. I think you've given me a great list. I will check with him and see if hea good spending this much.
