Should I buy MW2?

Okay, I'm not a huge call of duty fan, I just like games that are good (if you are turned off by every call of duty game ever, please turn away).

 

Apparently MW2 is really good? Or at least it used to be until hackers became prominent. Still, my friend is having a lot of fun with it and I'm wondering if it's worth the buy now.

 

And please, don't tell me to buy cod 4/5. Just tell me if MW2 is worth it now. I'm probably going to be playing it on PS3. Opinions?

I didn't like MW2.

 

The last CoD I liked was Black Ops... and even then, I didn't like it all that much. Before that, MW, and before that...... CoD2. :P

yes cod 4 and mw2 were the only good cods (and this is coming from a bf4 fan boy)

mw2 was the last one I actually played and in my opinion the last good one besides world at war. If you can get it super cheap then hell yea why not.

If you can get it for $5 or $10, sure. It is pretty old though.

I'll never buy a CoD again after buying the last one. I already hated BlOps2.

I really loved black ops.. the style, the balance, relatively hacker-free..

 

it was really good for a COD game not as an overall standalone game. 

to be clear it was for the online at the time. u wont get as many people playing now cause its pretty old in terms of COD games

So... it looks like "buy if it's cheap" seems to be the general consensus here. Thanks. I'll buy it ($5... if you can find one cheaper for PS3, then I'll be golden)

 

If its for console.,.. why not.

If it's for pc, no, don't bother.

No... you will not have fun with it online. Nobody gets banned for cheating anymore, so it would be very difficult to find a lobby that doesn't have SOMEONE ruining the game for you.

That and lack of dedis.

Go peer2peer on mw2 and see how many russians with 0.1mbps upload you find.

You used to be able to use 4D1 for dedis, but that got shut down due to too many kids running 24/7 nuketown / trickshot only / sniper only / other retarded shit that only 12 year olds would do, and the owner and moderators of Alter/4D1 just got sick of what the community had become.

 

edit: yeah on ps3 you'll be fine.

In my honest opinion, CoD 4 and Black Ops were better; better campaign and such. There's only so many campaigns in games that you can do on the war on terror.

yeah I have BO1 and I actually really liked it (I'm an AR guy) and yes the campaign was good too. But I'm just wondering if the PS3 servers are as full of hackers as people say

I just was playing it. You could get a good match every 3 servers. Still not too bad.
