for 1080P what is better to buy 2070 RTX or to buy RTX 2080?

benjaminr

Depends. If you're playing at 60fps at either 1440p or 1080p I'd go with the 2070 as it'll be just fine even at ultra settings.

If you're playing at 144hz at either 1080p or 1440p I'd go with the 2080. It'll be well used.

Imagine yourself in summer time on a crazy hot day.

Would you like 2 or 3 fans blowing at you?

They should perform about the same; however, if they're similarly priced, I'd go with the EVGA FT3 Ultra Gaming. It's a triple slot card instead of a double so it should cool better. EVGA also has a much better return policy.

Just make sure he has 3 slots open.

The cheaper one. Both are basically identical, maybe swing on the side of the ASUS if you need ASUS RGB compatibility or for some reason don't have 3 IO plates available at the back of the case but do have the space for a 2.5 slot cooler.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you aiming for 144fps? Because if you are then sure 2080'll be a great fit. If you're going 1080p 60fps ultra I'd go with a 2060.
