Doesn't matter which GPU you gonna buy, it all depends on your CPU and the game optimization. You will be bottlenecked with both cards, of course this doesn't mean that you should choose the weaker card. Either buy weaker GPU and upgrade your rig with newer CPU, or buy yourself 2080 and cry that your CPU can't keep up

What will happen is that even if you go with 1440p resolution for example, the gpu will work a bit harder and the FPS will be exactly the same as it will be in 1080p

Because it’s a stretch for some games. I don’t sit far from my monitor like a tv. So the clarity would bother me.

Already said what I recommend.

Acer or Asus, around 24” 1ms and 144hz or greater.

Well if that’s the case get that one. It’s just like all the others in it’s class.

Should be a fine monitor for what you need.

Its gonna game all the same being 1080p.

Like I said, it isn’t as clear. If that isn’t a problem to you, then no. You won’t have issues gaming at 1080p. It’s the same regardless of the screen size.

Put your face closer to a monitor. Then move further away. At which point is it clearer?

So, I’d say go for the RTX 2070. Get a 1080p 144hz monitor. The 27” monitor is fine at 1080p (as long as you aren’t using it for very close up reading) I have 2 MSI 27” curved ones. I love them. Only thing is I have a 2080ti for 1080p. I get 300fps in most games with 10-20% useage and a bottleneck on my CPU. Just be careful with ur 4770k, that’s why a 2070 is the best choice.

If you haven’t had problems before, you won’t have problems now. I just said that. Again I just said I don’t like 1080p with 27”. But you said you always use them. So you won’t have a problem.

Its fine for you. It’s still a good monitor.

Really dont know know what you want to hear.

I cant tell you which resolution to get.

the  4770k in 4.5 overclocked with one 2070RTx  will be  veru good  for 1080P?gaming?

yes it will be

i've read through the whole thing...you want 1080p 60FPS+ for a few years in all kind of games...RTX 2070 is A LOT of GPU for 1080p for the games that are out right now but it will for sure last a few years of happy gaming...enjoy.

Forget all about bottlenecks and shit.

For 1080p I won't suggest you to go with  RTX2070 or RTX 2080 even 1060  6gb is quite enough to give a very good performance. But if i have to choose for the above two GPU for 1080p gaming then I definitely go with RTX 2070

IF you want to play games only on 1080p then 2070 will be the good option or you can also consider gettting 2060 which have similar performance as 1070.
