Dinky at approx 10.5 wks old

Dinky had her last injections today and can in one week start having proper walks and socializing. Met another puppy at the vets today, so they're gonna meet up for a playdate sometime.

Her weight is going well, has put on 1.65Kg in the 3 weeks we've had her. She's such a cutie

LOL, yeah we think she's gonna be taller than our last Lab for sure. Story behind the name: The breeders name the dogs for things like keeping track of them for vets visits and stuff... anyway, so I asked the breeders what her name was, and when they told us we were like "karma!", as we used to have a dog called Dinky around 40 years ago. So we decided to keep it

 

She is around 4 times the size from when we got her now.... and now weighs in at 5.1Kg, she put on 1Kg in this last  week... we are very lucky actually to have a vets literally around 200Yds from our house, so we walk her down there now that she's fully vaccinated, to get her weighed in each week and whatever else she needs.

I've been doing a little training with her, just simple things like sit,stay for the most part, but have done a few more advanced things like crawl, circle etc. She is a LOT less bitey now that she's getting a walk or 3, and some training stuff to tire her out too. She's only getting short walks right now, mainly for leash training and getting her accustomed to her surrounding and taking in the sights and smells... it's good when we meet other dogs too of course. I always ask the owners if their dog is ok with it of course, as Dinky is kind of dominant personality... she is cute, and approaches slowly to other dogs, being cautious, but give her an inch and she takes a yard basically. Luckily most dogs are fine with it, and either push her on her back, or back away from her if she's being too much for them

We are gonna go to puppy classes if we can find somewhere locally, but if not we have met a few people that are happy to have play dates with her, plus some of my brothers and sisters have dogs and visit us too.

That "expert" was probably slightly irritated because the cables all had "Cat" labels on them (Cat5e, Cat6 and so on)

Jessi and Jaba are girls and Jessi started bringing home wood ever since she was like half a year old. I'll post a picture here tomorrow of the woodpile in our garden.
