Nexus 5 is not really the best device to perform a benchmark with. Even through it has the Snapdragon 800 it's performance it's not that good in comparison with another devices with the same processor.

Signatures are stupid.

Eh. I think Snapdragon 805 is going to beat it. I also question how it'll do when it comes to battery performance.

yeah it's like having 3770 without k (overcloking option) i meant the company haven't nourished the CPU well to work as it is capable of they might have saved some money on that thing too.

well it will be a great battle to see because the article says that it was not running at it's full potential so now we have two beast coming lets see who got the strong balls.

True. But it needs an additional chip for LTE. More chips, more power draw.

it newest chip in town this should be expect

Eh. I think Snapdragon 805 is going to beat it. I also question how it'll do when it comes to battery performance.

the 805 is the same cpu whit a better gpu and that something tegra just outright destroys everyone in the ARM space though yes battery life is what i want to see since that was a mayor problem in tegra 4 compared to SD 800 and 600

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

These benchmarks are great and all but I'm more interested in seeing what kind of battery life a phone or tablet gets with one of these.

I has a question. Will the K1 fit inside my 2012 N7? I don't get amazing FPS when playing GTA SA at high settings.

There are a few other things that changed other than the GPU. It has a better modem, and it can support more RAM in excess of 4GB.

well as linus talked about the fastest USB 3 coming soon on WAN SHOW. we can have a external k1 which will increase your frames when connected to your device. that will be so awesome

This is why I'm always scared to buy a phone, and even more scared for the uninformed. Mobile processors just keep BOOMING; I wonder when they will slow down like PC GPUs. I also hear Samsung's new and unused processor is gonna be awesome and debut in the S5

yeah that we didn't thought but if nvidia can do something about that battery thing which so many people really care for then i think this chip will get a demand

A phablet or tab with a K1 would have a better experience than a current Shield in terms of visuals since the Shild uses their last gen mobile SoC the Tegra 4.

The Shield would still give you a better experience in terms of controls though.

This benchmark info is very misleading. The K1 chip is installed in a 28 monitor while the other chips were installed on phone or tablets. What the article does not state is what K1 cooling solutions was involved.

Test ideas by experiment and observation; build on those ideas that pass the test, reject the ones that fail; follow the evidence wherever it leads and question everything.
